a.      Game Length: Each quarter will be a 8-minute running clock except on shooting fouls. The clock will stop on all shooting fouls.  Timers will be provided by the league. The clock will stop with one minute left in each half on every dead ball and foul shot. Half-time will be two minutes.

b.      Timeouts:  Coaches will be given two timeouts per half. Timeouts do not carryover.

c.       Playing Time: Each player will play a minimum of half the game. Substitutions will be made with 4  minutes left in each quarter. If a team does not have 10 players at a particular game no one player can play the whole game. Each player must sit at least 4 minutes per half. All substitutions will be made at the scorer’s table. You can not sub on the fly.

d.      Overtime: If overtime is needed the overtime period will be 2 minutes in length and the coach can use any five players they would like. Substitutions can be made on all dead balls and foul shots. The clock will stop during the overtime period as well. Each team will have one timeout during overtime.

e.      Coaches: Each team will have one head coach and one assistant. Only two coaches will be allowed to sit on the bench during the games. Only the head coach will be able to stand during the game. The head coach will be the only coach able to communicate with the officials. Assistants can only communicate with the head coach.

g.       Injuries:  If at any point a player is bleeding, they must be removed from the game and have the wound cleaned and covered. First aid kits will be made accessible by the league.

3.      Playing Rules:

a.      Second Lane: Lane violations will be called after a player has been in the lane for more than five seconds. Coaches and refs will encourage players to keep moving in and out of the lane.

b.       Jump ball: All games will begin with a jump ball and then a possession arrow will be kept at the scorer’s table for all subsequent jump balls.

c.      Fouls: All players will be allowed six fouls. After six fouls they will be eliminated from the game. Players will shoot two shots if they are fouled in the act of shooting. Two shots will occur after 5 team fouls in a quarter. There will be no two shot fouls after 10 team fouls. All players’ fouls will be kept at the scorer’s table. If a player receives a technical foul, they will be required to sit the rest of the half. If they receive a second technical foul they will be ejected for the remainder of the game and will receive a one game suspension. If a coach receives a technical foul they will be required to sit for the rest of the game on the bench. If they receive a second technical foul they will be ejected from the game. These rules will be enforced by the league directors.

e.      Backcourt Violation: Each team will have 10 seconds to cross half court.

4.      Defense:

a.      Only man to man to defense will be allowed. No zone defense.

b.      Once the defense gains possession through a rebound or turnover the defense must retreat beyond half court.

c.      No pressing in the first half. Pressing is allowed for the last two minutes of the fourth quarter. No pressing if a team is ahead by 15pts or more.

5.      Miscellaneous:

a.      Games may not be protested.

b.      Teams may start the game with four players and if more arrive, they may be used in the game.  The other team will also start with four players and continue to play with four players until the other team has five. The team with five or more players will start each quarter with two foul shots. This will be their advantage for having five or more players.

If a team is winning by more than 20 pts the scorer’s table will not display the score anymore, but the game clock will be displayed. The official score will be kept at the scorer’s table in the book.
